Make a bracelet
Cut 4cm x 14cm of tapestry canvas. Sew bias binding around the edges, then spray with green craft spray. Leave to dry. Create six 3cm circle templates from card, each with a 1cm hole in the middle. Cut long 1cm wide strips of jersey fabric in pink, turquoise and lime green.
Place one circle template on top of the other and tie one length of pink jersey around them, until it becomes difficult to thread through the central hole. Use a crochet hook to help. Cut a long length of matching embroidery cotton, ready for tying the pom pom together. Snip all of the edges of the fabric.
Place the thread between the card circles and tie into a tight knot with long tails of embroidery thread. Do not cut the ends away. Tear the card out of the pom pom, then trim into shape. Create turquoise and lime green pom poms in the same way.
Cover three 1.9cm buttons in pink, turquoise and lime green jersey fabric. Make up two 2.8cm buttons in pink and turquoise. Sew the pom poms and cover buttons to the tapestry canvas in matching thread. Connect two ribbon ends to either side of the bracelet, then connect lengths of chain and a toggle clasp.
Create matching earrings
- Make two turquoise pom poms. When you tie the pom pom together, place an eye pin inside. Trim the fabric edges, then make loops at the other ends of the eye pins and connect to earring hooks.
